Town Hall & Library
Project Overview:
New construction of library building and renovation of the historic Town Hall.
Building a 21st century library, while conserving the historic Shelburne Town Hall, the new facility addresses existing site, programming, accessibility and energy efficiency issues while achieving a net-zero ready standards and maximizing flexibility and future community use. The renovations to the Town Hall have renewed the life of the iconic Shelburne building, while also increasing access, programming, and energy efficiency.
High performance envelope design, renewable energy, state of the art mechanical systems, and a beautiful design made this a challenging and rewarding project.
Having managed other construction projects small and large, I can say from experience that working with your firm was a real pleasure. Rob Higgins and Peter Nelson were professional and collaborative in all aspects of our complicated project, and kept in close communication every step of the way. What I really appreciated was that when questions or unexpected challenges arose, they not only informed us of the issues, but had already identified thoughtful, cost-effective solutions — recommending what they believed were the best options, while understanding that these were our decisions to make.
