NCC’s renovation of Ben & Jerry’s downtown Burlington ‘Scoop Shop’ was recently certified a LEED Gold Commercial Interior. Congratulations to the entire project team on this achievement!
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a green building rating system that is recognized around the world as a symbol of sustainability achievement. Designations range from “Certified” to “Silver”, “Gold” and “Platinum”. The Scoop Shop’s Gold Certification follows the award of 60 total points which were earned in all seven of the LEED scoring categories. Categories include: Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy & Atmosphere, Materials & Resources, Environmental Quality, Innovation & Design Process, and Regional Priority.
