NCC is pleased to share that the recently completed Vergennes Community Housing Project was highlighted at the US Department of Energy’s Better Building Summit earlier this week.
During the Summit’s workshop “Driving Adoption of High-Impact Envelope and Integrated Lighting Strategies”, Vergennes Community Housing was among fourteen (14) buildings nationwide that were recognized through the DOE’s new Building Envelope Campaign.
As we celebrated at the completion of this fantastic project, “… this project is now the tightest building that NCC has constructed with final blower door test results surpassing Passive House standards. The final result of 0.024 CFM50/SF of shell (6 sides) comes after years of continuous improvement and we couldn’t be more proud of lifting the bar higher on every project.”
Congratulations to the entire Design Team, led by Vermont Integrated Architecture, Co-Developers Evernorth and Addison County Community Trust, and to all of our talented subcontractors and trade partners. A well-deserved recognition on a job well done!
